Healing music for migraines

I have found that listening to music has been a great comfort to me throughout my chronic migraine journey. It seems to reduce my blood pressure, calm my nerves, relax my muscles, and keep my mind loosely-focused on something other than pain. After experimenting with a variety of genres including ‘classical’, ‘ chill, ‘ambient’, and ‘spa’ I realized that a mixture of music is best, but that each song has to be screened for high-notes (which feel painful and disrupt the restful state (for me)), or songs with long periods of low volume or low notes that appear as silence (because I ‘wake up’ and start wondering why the music has stopped).

So, after lots of practice, here is a link to my Spotify playlist with the music that has helped me – I listen to it throughout the day to stay calm, and during migraine episodes to feel less lonely.

Enjoy and take care taking care, Linda.

PS – I recently noted that the playlist has passed 5,000 saves (that’s A LOT of people who like what they hear!!)
