June is Migraine Awareness Month, as I recently mentioned. One of Migraine Australia’s initiatives for this month is the launch of “the Burples” aimed at helping draw attention to migraines in a fun way. There are three Burples on the webpage. As a hemiplegic migraine person, the one that I most associate with is Billie, who goes by the following description:
Billie is really passionate about the rarer forms of migraine, like vestibular migraine which affects people’s balance, abdominal migraine which upsets the tummy, or hemiplegic migraine that causes stroke like symptoms.
“But, whether you have a funky type of migraine, or the regular headache type, remember – migraine doesn’t define you. You be you.”
Migraine Australia has asked that we “Support Burple Day on the first Friday in June by wearing burgundy and purple to raise awareness of migraine.”
So, it would only be right that I give it a go with one of Migraine Australia’s template frames:

Take care people, love, Linda and Bille. x
PS – if you live in Australia, the following webpage lets you know the buildings that will light-up in purple on specific dates, to show their support: Light Up Australia – Migraine Australia
PPS – this week has been abnormally filled with my photos – I usually hide behind my healing-mandala and do my best to keep a low profile. Anyway, now that you know what I look like and the promotions for Migraine Awareness Month are over (for me), next week it will be back to inspirational images only!
