Farewell my fluffy friend

Short post today, and none this Friday; I’m going to take a short break. It feels like only yesterday I was consoling one of my blogging besties – Sheila from Offshoots Photography – about the loss of her beloved family dog. And now it is my turn to be completely floored by the grief I feel after losing my own dog this weekend. After 14 years of faithful love and wonderful adventures, our ruby-red male cavoodle is happy in heaven.

I had a look back through the blog, and he has made a few appearances. Here are two of the times when his picture was included, and the posts that he was mentioned in:

Glimmers versus triggers: Glimmers are what make you smile (rather than trigger a migraine flare). My dog absolutely made the cut – here he is sleeping beside his younger sister:

Sandcastles for pain relief: My dogs’ footprints on the beach made me realize that life is a mixture of light and darkness:

That’s it for me today. I’m off to have another cry and give some comfort to his puppy-sister who doesn’t understand where her best friend has gone and waits beside the door for him to return…

Whilst our hearts are heavy, I’m happy that his spirit is free.

Take care taking care of all that you love and hug them tight,

Linda xx
