Half a year old!

Published by

Can you believe it?!?@#$!?! The Mindful Migraine is 6 months old today! I usually go for an image of sparklers to mark the anniversaries of my monthly inchstones, but today’s a BIG date, so I went all out and exploded some fireworks as my post-image!

When I first made my New Year’s resolution to start blogging about my migraines, and what worked (and what didn’t) on my holistic healing journey, I could never have imagined that I would meet so many AMAZING people! Some of you have migraines, some of you have chronic pain of a different sort. Some of you are into mindfulness, others are just committed, creative, incredible bloggers who generously share your ideas and time with other bloggers through your posts and comments.

Today I want to do a quick share of some blog statistics as a way of celebrating my mini-milestones, and then it’s on to my favorite activity of blog-shouting-out.

In terms of a quick recap, here’s the top three blogposts from the last month in terms of:

Most viewed: its-time-to-take-out-the-trash-talk/

Most liked: shadesformigraine/

Most comments: chatgpt-what-do-you-know-about-me/

In terms of who gives the most comments, the behind-the-scenes metrics tell me there are 5 blogger ‘winners’; and because you guys are so generous with your attention, here’s some extra love for YOU:

Things I Have thought Of: Things I have thought of… in case you haven’t

It’s Amy I said: β€œIt’s Amy,” I said. – Poems, prose and quirkiness abound

M’chels Musings: M’chelsMusings

Joanne Rambling: Remember Life’s Too Short To Be Miserable

Spark of Inspiration: Spark of Inspiration – ExploreπŸ”ΉImagineπŸ”ΉDiscover

Now for the new blog shout-outs…

One of the reasons that I keep reading other people’s blogs and chatting to their authors is that there are always these little moments that capture your attention and cause you to have an ah-ha moment. One recent example is a comment by Joni Caggiano. She wrote that “every day is a new opportunity” – it’s as simple statement but it really resonated with me – keep trying people, mess up, fail, suffer, struggle, but keep going, knowing that tomorrow you get to have another go at healing, growing, or adulting!

There are SO MANY blogs that I’m discovering that all add so much wonder to my world!! (There’s so much to read – so little time… but know that I am trying to get to you all as often as I can!!)

This month is a call out to 10 blogs and their bloggers who I have enjoyed reading and chatting to over the last month:

DGKayWriter: Live, Love, Laugh & Don’t Forget to Breathe!

Kiss by the book: Kiss By The Book – A personal diary blog🌹

Mark Bialczak: Mark Bialczak | What will I write about next?

Midwest Mary: Finding the Extraordinary in Ordinary, Everyday Life

Mindscrolls: Where we explore diverse topics that connect the mind, stories, and the science that shapes them

Poetic Spirit: RA AND THE FAMILY FIT – LIFE WITH RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

Purposeful Pathways: Navigating Life With Purpose, Passion, and the In-betweens

Renee Blare: Christian Author – A Faithwalker’s Journey

Ridin’ the crazy train: “Sell crazy someplace else–we’re all full up here!” ~ Jack Nicholson

Sedge808: Noir – the darker side to sedge808

zoom meeting invite

Lastly, here’s the Zoom address for our upcoming get-together… I am SO excited – even if there’s only one person who turns up, I’m so ready for a chat!

The dates are Saturday 9pm (Sydney time) on the 20th of July & Sunday 9am (Sydney time) on the 21st of July, and the zoom meeting is:

Meeting ID: 771 515 8379

I asked there to be no password – but it’s saying the code is “Lind@”

Meeting 1 link: https://us05web.zoom.us/j/7715158379?pwd=c9ko71j136vV35PQNDB7sQgJHnv7JN.1&omn=89779762279

Take care taking care everyone – and thank you as always for making my life so interesting over the last 6 months – I can’t wait for the next 6!!!

Linda x

Thank you for your shout out my new friend and a big congratulations on your six month anniversary. I would say you are doing amazing. I have met some of my best friends on WordPress but started posting on Twitter and Instagram and could not keep up on WordPress and I miss hearing from people that are not on Instagram. I hope that you are blessed today on your special day with no pain. Wishing you much love today as well. It feels like you have been blessed with some wonderful friends. It sounds like a day to send my fairies 🧚🏻 over to your house for a foot massage and they will serenade you while deep cleaning your house, they get into spots you can’t even imagine. Leave your outside light on and they will find you. Listen for the fluttering of their wings at 10:00 tonight. Much love, oh and they do expect sweet treats for their payment. Love Joni ❀️😘❀️

Oh I do love the sound of those cleaning fairies! My children grew up with a fun fairy in the loft, but she flew away to help another house after my children were no longer ‘little people’ themselves… I miss leaving treats out for her, but don’t miss the glitter dust she had a habit of spilling at the bottom of the attic ladder to announce her arrival! xx

Heyo Linda xx! Well done, it’s a huge thing to keep something going for this long, you’ve put a lot of work and personal insights into it. We’ve all learnt along the way with your deft light touch to such a serious subject. Glad to be part of you and the gangs support group:-)

Proud of you girl! (If a guy is allowed to say that!)

I’ll see you Saturday, Rob. (I was a bit unsure if I should go, cos I don’t get migraines and thought I might be intruding, but it can’t hurt)
