3 months young and getting resourceful

OK, one more post about mini-milestones, then I promise I’ll stop carrying on (for a while at least!) On the 17th of January 2024, I posted my first ever entry – “My migraine story” – since then, I’ve slowly got into the habit of posting Monday to Friday, until here I am; 3 months young today. I’m still learning how blogging works (for example, only yesterday I accidently discovered I can include a cover-image in the emails that go out – who knew!?) I went back and looked through my posts and thought I would share a few statistics from my blogging journey so far:

Most visited post: “Personal boundaries for chronic pain

Most comments: “Being out of sync with the rest of the world”

Most opened email: “Is there such a thing as over-nurturing?”

Most liked entry: “Humming away the pain”

Here’s some more stats, with links to fellow bloggers:

First ever blog-supporter: Amy

Most recent blog-supporter: Maggie

First comment by a fellow blogger: Jennifer

Most recent comment by a fellow blogger: Aboli

Best button-pushing-clapper: Kevin

With the help of Kevin and others, yesterday’s “clap if you support yourself and others keep going and growing” experiment we got to 282 claps in 24 hours! That’s way more than the 7 or 75 I was hoping for! If you’re curious which country is the best at clapping (so far) – it’s India by a long way – thanks India!! And thanks to you too Canda (you know who you are):

And, since I love doing this (it’s as satisfying as throwing confetti in the air, but much more environmentally responsible), here’s a call out to another 6 bloggers who keep me motivated with banter, likes, and writing what I enjoy reading:

A dad trying to cope: A Dad trying to cope with the loss of his Partner

Michelle’s Musings: M’chelsMusings

Mike: Silent Pariah – My Journey on the Lonely Road to Deaf Acceptance

Moongirl: Musings of a Taiwanese American Adoptee

Soul Ventures: E’n’M- Excerpts, Musings, Travelogues etc…..

Things I Have Thought of: Things I have thought of… in case you haven’t

Now – one last thing – to help celebrate my mini-anniversary, I thought I’d give you all a few presents. At the same time as blogging about mindfulness for chronic pain, I’ve also been turning some of the spreadsheets I used during my healing journey, into resources for you guys to download. There’s now a “Resources” tab at the top of the website that will take you to page of… you guessed it: FREE resources! There’s a migraine tracker template, as well as goal setting spreadsheets for your mindfulness journey (remember you don’t have to be sick to benefit from bringing mindfulness into your life), plus mandalas for coloring-in and mini-affirmational cards. Here’s hoping you find something that assists you on your individual path towards better health and happiness! So, go on – help yourself!

Lastly, I know I’m always going on about it, but I really can’t thank you all enough for being here; for making me feel seen, heard, valued – I couldn’t have kept getting better without you all – THANK YOU!

Take care taking care, Linda x

Congratulations on your 3rd monthsarry, my dear! Am giving you a virtual hug! 😊✌🏼Hope that doesn’t bring in the migraine.
I started blogging after I retired. Thought nothing much of it at first but found out that there was so much to learn, so much to benefit from with it. It has kept my mind working, it has gifted me with friends from across the world. It has kept me young. It has even allowed me to travel. It’s been therapeutic for me too.
So just keep at it, Linda. Once it becomes habit, it won’t be a chore.πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘πŸΌ
    I love your music, btw.

Clapping? Is that a button you press, or an emoji clap?

It’s a button that keeps tabs of pushes, but I’ve since found out you can’t see it on some browsers, including Jetpack. Given it’s only visible to some people I won’t use it again… but I’ll keep looking for other ways to make you all team players in healing! πŸ™ƒ

Congrats on your milestone Linda πŸ‘. I started blogging as it was a bit tiring to write down excerpts in a notebook , ( lazy ) . Ended up discovering an enriching world of wonderful bloggers / themed blogs – on philosophies , healing journeys , spirituality, poetry , photography, travel and so much more …. Here’s to many more milestones with your blog 😊

Kudos to you, Linda, on this three-month milestone! You’re on your way, and you’re providing important, relevant info that can make a difference for those of us who deal with migraines. I recall my three-month blogging milestone–I was still feeling my way around WordPress, trying to figure out a lot of things, but I’m glad I stuck with it. It’s allowed me to meet some wonderful folks all over the world and has shown me we all have much more in common that what sets us apart. Here’s to many more successes with your blog, and many more friendships made across the globe!β€‚πŸ˜Š
